Like so many others, I grew up learning to count with the Count on Sesame Street. I learned that being gentle and organized could be a guy thing too from Mr. Rogers and that of course was just the beginning. Later we would watch Nova in school science classes and see history come to life in other PBS shows during other classes. For my generation PBS was simply a part of life, entertainment and learning. Consequently, later when a life-long fascination with the power of Media encouraged me to complete a BA in Communications; and the opportunity to work for KIXE came along, I was grateful for the opportunity. It goes without saying that shows like Reading Rainbow, Clifford the Big Red Dog and Curious George make the world a better place so I was eager to be a part of that on a local level.
Since starting at KIXE, 9 years ago, I have completed a Masters in Business Administration/Marketing and hope to be able to use what I learned to help KIXE continue to bring this type of educational TV to the Northstate for years to come. I can say without hesitation; due to my time with KIXE, that those behind the scenes at the station seek to bring the very best in television to the over 70,000 households our signal reaches. We therefore value every person and business that helps us in this endeavor, and appreciate the chance to play a part in this great community we all call the Northstate.
