The Leadership Circle is a growing group of caring and philanthropic individuals and families that shares a commitment and a passion for public television. To demonstrate their support of KIXE’s mission – to provide an invaluable community service with programming that educates, enriches and enlightens – Leadership Circle members donate $1,000 or more to KIXE each year.
Such generous support strengthens public television’s ability to inform, involve and inspire and it helps make it possible for everyone in KIXE’s viewing area to access the rich cultural and in-depth informational content that is the cornerstone of KIXE.
KIXE supporters who step up to the Leadership Circle enjoy several benefits, including:

Since Ready To Learn first began at KIXE, we have distributed over 10,000 books to children in our broadcast area. We strive to be a vital resource to local communities, by providing educational services to parents, teachers, and caregivers of children ages 2-8. KIXE's RTL Program is proud help make a difference in getting our kids "Ready to Learn!"

KIXE-TV is a not-for-profit, community, public television corporation with the responsibility to serve the interest, convenience, and necessity of its viewing communities. Among its many educational missions, KIXE is charged to utilize new telecommunications technology to enhance the station's ability to serve the communities located in the ten-county area of superior California.
EDUCATE - ENLIGHTEN - ENTERTAIN
KIXE broadcasts only in digital VHF channel 9 at 15-thousand watts and covers a 130 mile radius that includes ten California counties: Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Plumas, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama, and Trinity. Today, KIXE is one of the most watched TV stations in this area. Some 33% of KIXE's budget comes in the form of a federal grant. The balance is derived from program underwriting, auction, members, and other fundraising activities. The station serves more than 500,000 people with more than 74,000 television households tuning in to Channel 9 each and every week.
Membership in KIXE establishes the foundation for public television in Northern California. Members' contributions provide the station with its largest source of revenue and allow KIXE to serve the community with quality programming.
Membership is an easy way to demonstrate your support for KIXE's commercial-free broadcasting services. Being a member is a way to say thanks for bringing educational, informative and entertaining programs into your home, schools and offices each day. It also provides a way to find out the opinions of those interested in the station concerning the programs KIXE airs.
All membership levels allow you the opportunity to invest in your local PBS station by giving you a chance to make a difference and voice your opinions.
Challenge Grants: make a pledge then challenge your co workers, family or other businesses like yours to call in too!! Contributions to KIXE are tax deductible and make great gifts. KIXE is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

Matching Gifts: A matching gift can come from a company or an individual to help kick off or boost a pledge drive. By calling in with your matching funds, you are saying that you will match pledges up to whatever level you choose. This is a good way to help increase pledges for KIXE.
$3,000 a year LEADERSHIP CIRCLE Membership Level - In appreciation for this generous level of giving leadership circle members receive all previous membership benefits plus invitations to additional receptions, previews and event highlights beyond those of major giving membership levels. This level also includes private luncheons with management staff and complimentary use of KIXE's facilities for private parties or meetings, pending availability. With this level you will also receive our quarterly newsletter, discounts at participating businesses featured on our website and entered into the monthly drawing.
$1,000 a year MAJOR GIVING Membership Level- In appreciation for this generous level of giving major giving members receive all previous membership benefits plus invitations to additional receptions, previews and events beyond those of the building block membership. The major giving level also includes our quarterly newsletter, discounts at participating businesses featured on our website and entry into our monthly drawing.
$500 a year BUILDING BLOCK Membership Level - In appreciation for this generous level of giving this membership level will receive all basic membership benefits plus invitations to select receptions, previews and events KIXE takes part in each year. Along with honoring a child or love one with an additional foundation membership in their name they will receive a personalized membership greeting card. This level also includes our quarterly newsletter, discounts at participating businesses featured on our website and entry into our monthly drawings.
$250 a year FOUNDATION Members Level - This membership level helps build a foundation for your local PBS station by honoring a child or love one with an additional foundation membership in their name along with a personalized membership greeting card. With this membership level you will receive all basic membership benefits such as the quarterly newsletter, member discounts at all participating businesses featured on our website as well as being entered into our monthly raffle drawings.
$60 a year BASIC FAMILY Membership Level - This membership level comes with a quarterly newsletter to keep you up to date on station activities and discounts as well as insight into the daily operations of KIXE TV.
$40 a year KIXE KIDS CLUB Membership Level - each Kid Club Member will receive a custom birthday card with fun surprises inside, parent and kids discounts at participating businesses, a surprise scrubby buddy animal in the mail and exclusive invitation to our annual Kids Club party.
$25 a year SENIOR or STUDENT Membership Level - This is a basic membership to help our local seniors and students stay connected to KIXE. This membership comes with a quarterly newsletter to keep you up to date on station activities and daily operations.
$9 for Channel 9 / EVERGREEN Membership Level - This is an automatic, ongoing, monthly contribution from your checking account (EFT), credit card or debit card account. Your membership renews each year automatically. You receive all the benefits of the basic membership level and you can change or end your contribution at any time. All EVERGREEN members will be entered in a monthly raffle and will also receive the quarterly newsletter.

Board members must be a resident of one of the ten counties served by KIXE. If you are interested in serving, please write to the nominations committee at the following address: Nominations Committee KIXE-TV 603 North Market Street Redding, CA 96003 To be eligible to become a member of the Board of Directors you must first be a member of KIXE. Members of the board of directors of KIXE are elected on a rotating basis. This insures the continuity of leadership and experience on the board. Directors are elected from specific geographic areas within the viewing area of KIXE. There can not be more than four board members elected from any one county. KIXE-TV is owned and operated by the Northern California Educational Television Association, Inc., a non-profit organization.
Gifts to KIXE through a bequest, living trust or other planned gift create a legacy that ensures public broadcasting in northern California will continue to be enjoyed for generations to come. Planned gifts offer a wonderful opportunity for those whose lives have been enriched by KIXE to make a lasting namesake contribution that makes certain today’s children and grandchildren will grow up in a community nourished by television programming that informs, educates and enlightens. In most cases, a planned gift will allow a KIXE supporter to save money on income, gift and estate taxes – money that can instead be put to use in the north state community.
