PBS KIDS GO!  WRITERS CONTEST

 

Welcome to KIXE’s 3rd Annual Local Writers Contest (formerly known as the Reading Rainbow Young Writers & Illustrators Contest) and now known as the National
PBS KIDS GO!  WRITERS CONTEST

As always our contest is open to children in Kindergarten through Third Grade and our contest dates run from
January 30 through March 30, 2010.
All entries must be postmarked or received by 3/30/10

Please be sure to adhere to the rules, as we will pick winners that have followed the rules and advance our Local 1st. Place KIXE Winners on to the National Contest.

Make sure that the children submit their best original work.
(No Parents Stories Allowed!) Stories that are neatly written, with correct spelling and proper punctuation demonstrate that children have worked hard on their creations! Please, make a copy of your child's story or send a self addressed stamped envelop to recieve the original returned.
A minimum of 5 illustrations need to be included.

Local First, Second & Third Place Winners will receive prizes from local vendors and be invited to our Awards Ceremony on May 8, 2010! One Grand Prize Winner will receive two tickets to KIXE's Annual Mother and Daughter Tea Party on May 2, 2010.

All children who enter will receive a Certificate of Accomplishment!
