What is KIXE’s Ready To Learn Program?

Our Ready To Learn Program serves parents, childcare providers, teachers, and basically anyone working with children, ages 2-8. Each year we have expanded our program by serving more families with children’s programming, free educational workshops, and curriculum, and by bringing free children’s books and story times throughout our local communities!

There are many components to KIXE’s Ready To Learn Program.

Children’s Programming: a dynamic 9 hours a day weekday schedule with commercial free/non-violent, award winning educational programming.

The Learning Triangle: resources, activities, and curriculum for parents, educators and anyone working with children ages 2-8.

Parent/Educator Workshops: based on child development theories with a hands-on approach, to affectively utilize children’s programming as an educational tool for children.

Story Times: for partnering agencies; such as preschools, child care providers, elementary schools, Even Start/Head Start, etc.

Book Distribution Program: free children’s books for children ages 2-8.

Community Events: Calendar, resources and workshop dates.
