During the Report Term, KIXE engaged in the following recruitment initiatives:
1. Continuation of an internship program designed to assist members of the community to acquire skills needed for broadcast employment. KIXE’s internship program is intended to help interns gain experience within the broadcast environment while enhancing their skills and/or education inside the classrooms. Pre-selected staff mentors the interns.

2. KIXE trains seniors through the Work Experience Program and the Shasta Sheriffs Annex Release Program
3. KIXE employees recruit at the Mass Communications Class of Shasta Community College (November 14, 2006 and March 6, 2007) and CSUC (April 19, 2007)
4.KIXE continues to provide training programs for childcare providers and caregivers with its Ready To Learn program.
